The declaration of the 12th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (UNCCPCJ) unanimously welcomed the request of Qatar to host the 13th UNCCPCJ in Doha in 2015. Minister of State for Interior Affairs and Member of Ministerial Council of Qatar H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani headed the Qatar's delegation to the 12th UNCCPCJ, which held in Salvador city of Brazil between 12-19/4/2010.

HE the Minister of State for Internal Affairs delivered a speech in front of the general authority of the conference, in which he presented the request of the State of Qatar to host the 13th edition of the UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Doha in 2015 and all the participants in the meeting welcomed the request of Qatar.

The speech of H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani highlighted Qatar's efforts spent in the fields of crime prevention and criminal justice at regional and international levels, particularly those topics included in the agenda of the conference in the fields of activating the United Nations guiding principles and fighting human trafficking and transnational organized crimes. During the speech, H.E. the Minister also projected the measures taken by the State of Qatar for combating money laundering and the ratification of the international instruments related to combating terrorism and its implementation, in addition to preventing the children and youths from crime and protecting and caring their rights and utilizing the science and modern technology by the competent authorities for fight against crime including cyber-crimes.
