The Preparatory Committee of the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice-Doha 2015, participated in the 23rd session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Vienna, which is ongoing from 12-16 May 2014.

The Committee was headed by Staff. Maj. Gen. Dr. Abdullah Yusuf al Mal, the Legal Advisor to the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice-Doha 2015.

The Committee has set up as part of the 23rd session of CCPCJ, a promotional exhibition displaying the preparations of the State of Qatar to host the 13th UNCCPCJ 2015 in Doha, which is one of the biggest events, organized by the UN in coordination with the hosting country.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud addressed the opening ceremony of the session. The Deputy Prime Minister noted the preparations of Qatar for hosting the conference, pointing to the participation of a high-level delegation from Qatar in the regional preparatory meetings for the 13th Conference in Bangkok and San Jose and Addis Ababa, in addition to Qatar hosting of the preparatory meeting for West Asia, which helped in identifying the challenges faced by regional groups and their priorities.
