 Karwa to Provide Transportation Services to UN Congress

An agreement was signed between Ministry of Interior and Karwa Mowasalat Company to provide transportation services for the 13th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice 2015, to be held at Doha during 12-19 April 2015.

The agreement was signed on behalf of MoI by Col. Abdullah Khalifa al Muftah, Director of the Public Relations Department and Member of the organizing committee and Khalid Nasser al Hail, the CEO of the company on behalf of Karwa.

The agreement comprised various aspects of services including planning services, supply of buses, cars and drivers, vehicles for daily services, management and supervision of transportation lines, and all the transportation requirements for the great event.

It is worthy to mention that the UN Crime Congress is one of the largest conferences organized by the United Nations every five years and will be attended by most of the Member States of the UN organization, to discuss the most important topics on the international arena. The theme of this year's conference is "the Integrating crime prevention and criminal justice into the wider United Nations agenda to address social and economic challenges and to promote the rule of law at the national and international levels, and public participation”.

The United Nations had held many conferences over more than half a century aimed at strengthening international cooperation to prevent the spread of the crime, which made these conferences of paramount importance to be a bridge for international cooperation among member states in the UN in crime prevention areas.
