The Qatari delegation headed by Maj. Gen. Dr. Abdullah Yousuf Al-Mal, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee of the 13th UN Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Congress held a meeting with UN officials at Ottawa, the Canadian capital city, to discuss the preparations for the Conference, scheduled to be held in Doha during 12-19 April 2015.

The delegation held official meetings with the Canadian officials at Ministries of security, Justice and foreign affairs including Mr. Donald Piragoff (Senior Assistant Deputy Minister, Policy Sector, Department of Justice). The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Qatar to Canada HE Fahad Muhammad Kafoud.

During the meetings, they discussed the latest logistic preparations by the State of Qatar to host the Conference, in addition to the positions of the two sides on issues on the agenda and agreement on the joint cooperation and coordination between the delegations of the two countries on the draft Doha Declaration.
