The Milipol Qatar is one of the important security exhibitions in the Middle East as it is the sole exhibition specialized in the internal security technologies, in which all the countries are much interested in order to secure its properties and achieve the stability and development for its people.

The idea of partnership in organizing Milipol Qatar was the outcome of relations of friendship and joint cooperation between Qatar and France. The official organizer of Paris Milpiol is Empexo, a French company with exclusive permit from 'Milipol' brand to be the official organizer of Milipol exhibitions. Qatar and France has agreed to organize the Milipol security exhibition alternatively between Paris and Doha every two years.

To translate these efforts into reality and make it a success, a delegation from Qatar's Ministry of Interior with senior officers participated in Milipol Paris 1995 to prepare the necessary studies to organize the first episode of this exhibition in Qatar in 1996. The delegation could convince the participating companies and establishments as well as the organizing company about the greater potential enjoyed by Qatar in different fields in addition to its geographical location in the Middle East as a meeting point and a global hub for international conference and exhibitions.

As a result, the first Milipol Qatar exhibition was held in 1996 which was first of its kind in the Gulf and Middle East region. Since then, alternatively with the French side, the exhibition is being organized consecutively and it witnessed a great success with world class exhibitors, official delegations, security officials and media persons. The exhibition became a destination for those wishing to see the most latest prominent technological products in the area of internal security.
