Under the auspices of H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, the 10th edition of international exhibition of internal state security Milipol Qatar 2014 will be opened on Monday 20 October 2014. This was announced by Brig. Nasser bin Fahad Al-Thani, President of the Milipol Qatar committee in a press conference held at officers’ club in Civil Defence. The conference was attended by members of the committee Brig. Saud Rashid Al-Shafi, Brig. Ahmad Abdullah Al Jamal and the director of Milipol Paris Mriel Kafantaris.

Brig. Nasser bin Fahad Al-Thani revealed the final preparations of the exhibition. The total floor plan covers 6055 square meters which shows 12% increase than that of Milipol Qatar 2012. A total of 261 companies from 36 countries will participate in the exhibition with 7 % increase than the previous exhibition. Six international pavilions will represent France, Germany, Austria, Italy, UK and USA.

The new countries participating in the event are Belgium, Cyprus, Portugal, Romania, Taiwan, and Slovakia. The committee had made all efforts to promote the exhibition internationally.

The Milipol Qatar Committee had visited many international exhibitions like Intersec Dubai, International Exhibition for Security and National Resilience (ISNR) in Abu Dhabi, Defence Services Asia Exhibition & Conference (DSA) in Kuala Lumpur, Counter Terror Expo in UK, Sofex Jordan, International Exhibition of Land Defense Activities in France and German Expo.

The opening ceremony will be attended by the French Minister of Interior, Minister of Interior of Oman, Ministers of Internal Affairs and Emergencies in Azerbaijan, Turkish Home Minister and other security officials from different countries.

Brig. Nasser bin Fahad Al-Thani launched the new website of Milipol Qatar which provides all necessary details and history of Milipol Qatar in addition to the facilities available in the site including registration of participants. The director of Milipol Paris, Mriel Kafantaris said that given the statistics available on Milipol Qatar 2014 it proves that this exhibition has become the most important exhibitions in the region and she invited visitors and media persons to attend or register their participation through the website.

The exhibition is expected signing of the renewal of the partnership between the State of Qatar and the French Republic for the continuation of new editions of Milipol Qatar in the coming years.

The Milipol Qatar, organized every two years alternately between Paris and Doha, is the only exhibition in the Middle East that displays latest products by international companies in the field of internal security. is one of the most important exhibitions which is an important meeting place for the companies that produce security devices and equipment at international level generally and at Middle East level particularly since it was launched in 1996. It came as a response for the need of organizing a specialized exhibition that targets the requirements of the Middle East market in the fields of latest security equipment and advanced security technologies. The participating companies will showcase new devices on Electronics, Information Technology and Communications Systems, Weapons and ammunition, optical Instruments, woven fabrics and garments, forensic machines, construction of the security perimeter, civil defense equipment, machines to get rid of bombs and mines as well as they will provide consultant and training services.
