The 7th edition of the international exhibition of internal state security - Milipol Qatar Exhibition was inaugurated on Monday, November 17, 2008 at Doha International Exhibition Centre.

Their Excellencies the Ministers of Interior from some sisterly and friendly countries, VIPs, security officials from organizations concerned with the activities of the exhibition, safety and security experts from around the world, media representatives and chiefs of police from various countries attended the opening ceremony of the expo. World famous companies producing internal security devices and civil protection items took part in the exhibition.

On the sidelines of Milipol Qatar 2008 Exhibition, the MENA regional conference of International Association of Police Chiefs was held and 260 exhibitors from 37 countries such as Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States of America took part in the expo.

In addition to this, countries such as Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, Jbraltar ((Gibraltar)), Latvia, Malaysia, South Korea and Spain took part in the Milipol Qatar 2008 for the first time.
