The 9th edition of Milipol Qatar 2012- Doha (8 – 10 October) – 2012

The State of Qatar hosted the 9th international exhibition of internal state security Milipol Qatar 2012 on Monday 8th October 2012 and it concluded on Wednesday, 10th October 2012.

5820 persons from 66 countries visited the exhibition by registering a 5.5% increase compared with Milipol 2010. A total are of 5623 m2 were occupied by the exhibitors except the Ministry of Interior and Lekwhiya. 244 companies from 37 countries participated in the exhibition where 10 countries where new.

The Director General of the French National Gendarmerie Jacques Mignaux adorned the commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) H.E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Medal of French National Gendarmerie on Oct. 8, 2012 during the expo. He is the first high level security official in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) who receives this and it was awarded for his role in the completion of joint projects with the French gendarmerie.

This Medal was launched before 63 years and it is awarded for 40 people annually from the staffs of French National Gendarmerie that reach 130,000 personnel. It is awarded particularly for honorable service rendered by military personnel for their participation in operational activities in addition to French and foreign citizens who have contributed in the wide achievements in the implementation of joint projects with the French Gendarmerie.
