Addiction of children to video games
Now a days children are spending much of their leisure time in video games. Some of these games may have negative intellectual and social impacts because of its inherent implications contrary to norms and values followed by the society. In some cases, it may cause violent situations as children who play more violent video games are more likely to have increased aggressive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and decreased social helping according to some studies.
Some video games may also contain profanity, indecent scenes, black magic and, which could threaten the social fabric, as well as the ideas and beliefs distorting culture and their proper upbringing.
Some children will try to simulate the violence on the ground against his peers, which could result in disastrous errors. Hence we advise parents to assist your children to choose appropriate games that do not contain what affects their behavior like violence and bloodshed or sexually suggestive content.

Some other important tips in this regard
- Monitor children's video game play the same way you need to monitor television and other media while they use.
- Give your kid a variety of entertaining things to learn from, so your kid will not be addicted to just one thing. Be sure to make him read books, play sports, interact with other kids, and watch good TV. Help to develop good hobbies.
- Consider limiting your child’s video game playing, ideally to an hour a day.
- Monitor the effect of video games on your child. Observe his behavior and if you see any negatives changes stop him from those games and suggest alternatives for him.
- Limit your child’s video game playing when you observe him having a sedentary lifestyle, and not engaging in sports and exercise as well if he displays sign of addiction.
