Traveling with Personal ID

Dear citizen,

It is possible to travel to Saudi Arabia with new smart ID card. The following conditions shall be kept while travelling to Saudi:
Only new smart ID card should be used to travel (The Old Qatari ID card won’t be accepted).

• The document used for travel, whether it is passport or smart card, shall be used for the return as well.
• In the case of missing the ID card in Saudi, it should be reported to the nearest security department there and receive the loss certificate. This certificate should be produced while returning to Qatar along with passport(if available).
• If the passport is not available with you when you lost your ID card you should approach to the Qatar embassy in Saudi Arabia to get the document eligible for return to Qatar.
