Entry Procedures for U.S Citizens to the State of Qatar:
U.S. citizens can now obtain a visa valid for two years or until the passport expires (whichever comes first), with the possibility of multiple entries, each allowing a stay of up to 90 days. The same conditions and procedures as before still apply, as follows:
Fees:
- • $21 USD (equivalent to 76 Qatari Riyals) — paid upon first entry only.
Passport Validity Requirements:
- • The passport must be valid for at least 3 months at the time of entry.
Multiple Visits:
- • There is no waiting period required between visits.
Types of Allowed U.S. Passports:
Entry is permitted with all types of U.S. passports, including:
- Diplomatic
- Official
- Service
- Ordinary
- Emergency or Temporary
- Entry with travel documents is not permitted.
Extra Requirements:
- A valid round-trip ticket.
- Providing a clear address within Qatar.
Ways to Obtain the Visa:
- Pre-registration via the “Hayya” platform.
- The visa can also be obtained upon arrival in Qatar.
Entry Mechanism:
- For first-time entry: Passengers must use normal passport control counters.
- For subsequent entries: Passengers can use e-gates at both arrival and departure until the visa or passport expires, whichever comes first.
