Targeted Financial Sanctions Group Meet via Video Conferencing

The Targeted Financial Sanctions Group held a meeting via video conference at the National Counter Terrorism Committee (NCTC) headquarters on 31 August 2020. Jassim Al-Mahmoud (PPO Listing Official), Colonel Khalid Al-Kaabi (NCTC Rapporteur), and Tariq Fakhroo (MOFA Representative) attended the meeting from Doha while Talal Al-Khalifa and Ali Al-Mansoori, representatives of the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the UN attended from New York.
The meeting discussed ways to advance the pace of communication between UN Security Council Sanctions Committees and the National Counter Terrorism Committee (Qatar), which particularly includes the transfer and exchange of information related to updates issued by the relevant UN agency, implementation of fund freezing without any delay, and facilitate the consideration of various mutual requests.
