NCTC Organizes a Workshop on Trials for Terrorism Financing Crimes

The National Counter Terrorism Committee organized a workshop titled "On Trials for Terrorism Financing Crimes" in coordination with the Terrorism Financing Targeting Center (TFTC). The workshop took place over two days on 9 - 10 May 2023.
It was attended by experts and specialists from judicial authorities, relevant national agencies, and experts from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the United States of America. Major General Nasser Saeed Al-Hajri, Deputy Chairman of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee, and Mr. Timmy Davis, the United States Ambassador to Qatar attended the workshop.
The workshop aims to clarify how to direct financial investigations and prepare financial evidence used in legal procedures. It also reviewed real case studies of terrorism financing investigations that have led to legal prosecutions. Additionally, the workshop aims to enhance cooperation among agencies in member countries of the Terrorism Financing Targeting Center.
