Results of First Research Award for Development of Penal and Correctional Institutions Announced

Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), and in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Naif bin Faleh bin Saud Al Thani, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Security Affairs, the Permanent Committee for Penal and Correctional Institutions announced the results of the first Research Award for the Development of Penal and Correctional Institutions. The event took place at the Police Academy, in cooperation with the Endowment Fund for Scientific and Cultural Development under the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs; Her Excellency Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al Thani, Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family; His Excellency Waleed Fahmy El Faqi Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt; along with several senior officials from the Ministry of Interior, representatives of relevant entities, researchers, and specialists in the fields of rehabilitation and reform.
