Qatar Participates in Regional Meeting on Responding to Nuclear or Radiological Emergencies

The State of Qatar is participating in the Regional Meeting on Responding to Nuclear or Radiological Emergencies, held in the Austrian capital, Vienna, from 3 to 7 November.
The Qatari delegation includes representatives from the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. The meeting, organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), aims to strengthen Arab and regional cooperation in the field of preparedness and response to nuclear and radiological emergencies.
Participants are discussing ways to develop practical and scientific procedures to enhance readiness and ensure effective response in such situations, within the framework of the IAEA’s project.
The Ministry of Interior’s delegation includes a number of officers from the General Directorate of Civil Defence, the General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security, and the National Command Center (NCC).
