Students from Police Institute’s Diploma in Police Sciences Visit Penal and Correctional Institutions Department

The Penal and Correctional Institutions Department received a group of students from the Police Institute’s Diploma in Police Sciences program, as part of efforts to strengthen academic and practical cooperation between security entities and educational institutions within the Ministry of Interior.
The delegation was welcomed by Major General Nasser Mohammed Issa Al Sayed, Director of the Penal and Correctional Institutions Department, who emphasized the importance of such visits in fostering professional understanding among students and familiarizing them with the nature of work within penal institutions and their vital role in the security system.
During the visit, Colonel Yousef Bilal Al Abdullah, Assistant Director of the Department, delivered an introductory lecture highlighting the department’s role in the rehabilitation and reform of inmates, its key functions and responsibilities, and its ongoing efforts to provide a safe and supportive environment for positive change.
The students also toured several facilities of the institution, where they were briefed on the services provided to inmates and the available resources that support rehabilitation and reintegration programs.
