49th Electoral General Assembly of Arab Police Sports Federation Opens

Under the patronage of HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force “Lekhwiya,” and in the presence of HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al Thani, Minister of State for Interior Affairs, the 49th Electoral General Assembly of the Arab Police Sports Federation hosted by Doha, was opened with broad participation from representatives of Arab federations and delegations.
The opening session was attended by HE Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Koman, Secretary-General of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, and HE Dr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Harfash, Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and its Vice President for External Relations, along with heads of Arab police sports federations and members of the Executive Bureau.
On the sidelines of the Assembly, the Minister of State for Interior Affairs met with the Secretary-General of the Arab Interior Ministers Council to discuss several topics of mutual interest and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in the security and police sports fields, in support of joint Arab action.
Major General Khalid bin Hamad Al Attiyah, President of both the Qatari and Arab Police Sports Federations, affirmed that the Doha meeting, held in conjunction with the golden jubilee celebrations of the Arab Police Sports Federation, reflects the spirit of Arab cooperation and integration, and strengthens joint police sports action in a manner that serves security and promotes closer ties among Arab countries.
