US-Qatar Designations Workshop

The National Counter Terrorism Committee (NCTC) participated in a virtual workshop, organized by Terrorism Affairs and Targeted Financial Sanctions Follow-up Office in Qatar Public Prosecution, in collaboration with US Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). The two countries' experiences in the application of targeted financial sanctions were reviewed during the workshop,  as well as ways to advance joint cooperation on relevant issues, including in particular facilitating the consideration of designation proposals, with respect to countering terrorism and its finance and preventing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction
