The NCTC participates in the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office Event

The National Counter-Terrorism Committee participated in the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office event, in partnership with the permanent delegation of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, to present the most important projects and achievements of the International Center for Behavioural Insights to Combat Terrorism to the UN member states.

In his recorded speech, Major General Dr Nasser Saeed Al-Hajri, Vice-Chairman of the National Counter-Terrorism Committee, referred to the State of Qatar's contribution to strengthening global security and stability in the fight against terrorism through bilateral, regional and multilateral cooperation to take the necessary measures to combat terrorism and dry up the sources of extremism.

The Vice-Chairman of the National Counter-Terrorism Committee praised the strategic partnership between Qatar and the United Nations through the continuous cooperation between the National Counter-Terrorism Committee and the United Nations represented by the International Center for Behavioural Insights to Combat Terrorism, which is based in the State of Qatar.

Vladimir Voronkov, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Director of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office, praised the support provided by the State of Qatar to the UN Counter-Terrorism Office, stressing that the Center continues to work with partners in Qatar to promote evidence-based and community-wide approaches that address All forms and manifestations of terrorism.
