Workshop on the Effective Application of the Financial Sanctions System

In the context of preparing for the evaluation process for the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) for the State of Qatar, the National Counter Terrorism Committee organized a two-day workshop on 13-14 July 2020. The workshop was held to explain the guidelines for the effective application of the targeted financial sanctions system in the country, which was issued under the Anti-Law Terrorism No. 27.

About 30 participants representing 10 government agencies participated in the workshop in addition to several representatives of different entities. The attendees discussed the best methods and practices by which to implement Security Council resolutions related to Law No. (27).
