Penal and Correctional Institutions Receive Participants for 4th Qualification Course
The General Directorate of Penal and Correctional Institutions received a number of participants from the Fourth Compulsory Qualification Course for female university graduates, conducted by the Women's Police Institute at the Police Academy. This visit is part of the field training program accompanying the course, which aims to enhance the practical skills of the participants and introduce them to the nature of police work across various departments.
The candidates were received by Major General Nasser Mohammed Issa Al-Sayed, Director of the General Directorate of Penal and Correctional Institutions, along with several officers. The field visit included (28) candidates, including (14) candidates from the sisterly State of Kuwait. During the visit, they learned about the functions of the General Directorate of Penal and Correctional Institutions and its responsibilities in the care and rehabilitation of inmates, as well as the procedures and the correctional and rehabilitation programs in place.
Furthermore, the participants received a briefing on the operational mechanisms within the penal and correctional institutions and the role of security and administrative personnel in achieving the goals of reform and rehabilitation in accordance with best practices and approved standards.
