Ministry of Interior signs agreement with Hamad medical Cooperation

Hamad International Training Center (under Hamad Medical Cooperation signed an agreement to establish an independent medical training centre at the Ministry of Interior. According to the agreement, MoI will provide office for the headquarters of the medical training centre, while HITC will provide equipment, logistics and qualified trainers until the centre achieves accreditation.

The new medical centre will train MoI cadres to become qualified medical trainers. The agreement was signed by Brigadier Khalifa Abdallah al Nuaimi, Director of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at MoI and Dr Khalid Saifuldin from HITC of Hamad Medica Corporation (HMC).

Brig Nuaimi said,"Having our own medical trainers will make our work more efficient and a quantum leap for the Medical Services Department at MoI."
He praised the efforts of HITC to make these plans come true and provide support to MoI with all logistic and consulting aid for the medical training centre.
HITC Director General said he is looking forward to more similar agreements. "We have been seeking to support other providers of healthcare and MoI is one of these. They are planning to expand, so it seems quite fitting for us to sign this agreement to serve the community and our country," Dr Saifuldin said.

The agreement aims to train cadres in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as it is mandatory to procure licence for practicing the profession at MoI. Advanced resuscitation course, immediate resuscitation for paediatrics and defibrillator use will be started at the new centre.
Dr Saifuldin said the new building for the medical training is now ready and well equipped."The aim is to have an independent medical training centre at MoI, which we will support using our expertise and international accreditation and standards. We will also add more services to the centre gradually," Dr Saifuldin said.

He added,"The key element of this agreement is unifying and collaborating our resources together, in order to achieve Qatar Vision 2030."
