Police College Receives "Officers of Tomorrow"
In response to the parents' demands and their desire to enroll their children in the program entitled "Officers of Tomorrow" organized by the Ministry of the Interior in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Ministry has reopened the registration process to accept the new applications and added the morning period of the program.
The Police College has received the new students who attended the college together on Wednesday evening, June 27, 2018, to register and receive military materials to join the program.
Brigadier Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mahna, Director General of the Police College, stated that the high turnout of the program by the first group of primary school students began to assimilate showed the success of the idea and indicated the keenness of parents and students to participate.
He pointed out that the response of the Ministry of Interior to reopen registration was the result of the successive requests received by the College in order to enroll in the program. He said that this turnout is indicative of the keenness of the students and their parents to participate to serve their country and society. He pointed out that the "officers of tomorrow" program was designed to provide a rich material for students that gives them the priorities of military infantry and to identify the security matters carried out by the police, in addition to teaching some leadership skills, and sports training.
The parents expressed their appreciation for the rapid response of the Ministry of Interior to their requests to accommodate their children in the program, pointing out that this age chosen to participate in the officers of tomorrow program is best suited to instilling the principles of patriotism and readiness to serve it. The training would add to enhance the student's fitness and his ability to maintain his practice in his public life.
The students who participated in the program expressed their great happiness that they had been accepted to join their colleagues who had preceded them in the experiment, noting that they will make every effort to benefit from everything that will be provided to them within this program.
