- Issuing on-arrival visas for residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
- Issuing on-arrival visas for truck drivers for multiple trips.
- Issuing on-arrival visas for drivers of citizens of Saudi Arabia [Eastern Province].
- Issuing return visas [exceeding six months] for residents on the personal sponsorship of citizens.
- Issuance of return visas [exceeding six months] for residents on the sponsorship of companies.
- Issuing return visas [exceeding six months] for residents on the personal sponsorship of residents.
- Issuing joint tourist visas [Sultanate of Oman and the State of Qatar.
2. Traffic Department services:
The Traffic Department at Abu Samra Port provides traffic services to the public, including:
- Traffic investigations into accidents.
- Weighting of trucks coming into the country.
- Issuing permits for cars coming to the country with export plates.

Departments of the Ministry of Municipality:
Many departments of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture operate at the Abu Samra port, including:
- Agricultural Quarantine provides a service of checking and issuing permits for all agricultural consignments coming and going to and from the country, such as vegetables, fruits, trees, etc.
- The veterinary quarantine provides services for examining and issuing a permit to import live animals such as sheep, goats, cows, and camels, examining and issuing a permit for animal products and fodder imported into the country, and examining and issuing a permit for veterinary medicines imported into the country.
- The Fisheries Department provides services for issuing fish export permit after verifying and matching the incoming cargo with the types of fish allowed to be exported.
The Supreme Council for the Environment and Natural Reserves:
The offices of the Supreme Council for the Environment and Natural Reserves at the Abu Samra port issue the following permits:
- The Wildlife Office issues entry permits for all types of birds into the country.
- The Office of Chemicals issues a permit to enter chemicals into the country.
Qatar General Authority for Standardization and Metrology:
