Functions of Capital Security

• Maintaining security and protecting lives as well as public and private properties.
• Prevention of crime, prevent or reduce the opportunities to commit crime using all possible legal methods and tracing the crimes that happened.
• Receiving reports and complaints on crimes that occurs within the jurisdiction limits of the Department and completing all investigation procedures.
• Collecting evidence in crimes and investigation as per the law.
• Preservation of public morals, tracing the related crimes and fighting begging and homelessness.
• Receiving  applications for firearms and ammunition licenses,  acting according to the law and regulations and monitoring the implementation of controls on possession of firearms, ammunition and explosives.
• Communicateing with all segments of society, within the limits of the geographical jurisdiction of the Department, to strengthen its role in the face of social problems in order to combat crime and Prevention.
