Security Services’ Law

The law for organizing private security services

In 2009, HH, crown prince- Tamim Bin Hamad al-  Thani- has issued Law No (19) to organize and regulate practicing private security services.

In 2011, the Minister of Interior issued decree No (4) of the year 2011 regarding regulations on preservation, use and inspection of arms and ammunitions by members of private security companies.

In 2012, Minister of Interior issued decree No. (7) of the year (2012) regarding specifying the private security services and measures for giving license to private security services companies and the organization of their work.

In 2012, Minister of Interior issued No. (8) of the year (2012) regarding terms and regulations for approving and licensing private security training establishments and private security consultants and organization of its work.

Again in 2012, Minister of Interior issued Decree No. (9) of the year (2012)  regarding the specifying the fees for private security companies, , fees for hiring arms, and issuing license for security training centres and consultants.
