Departments under the General Directorate

Considering the wide coastal area of the country which's security providing responsibility lies on the department, The Department was divided to 9 main sections.

Northern Regional Department

The headquarter of this section is located at Al Khor city and it carries out the duty of moving terrestrial and marine patrols to cover the area between Ushairij and Al Wusail . 9 coastal centers come under this section.


 

Southern Regional Department

This department is headquartered at Al Wakra city. This section accomplish the duty of moving terrestrial and marine patrols to cover the area between Rasabufantas and Al Khor Al Adied south . 4 coastal centers come under this section.
 

Western Regional Department

This department located in Dukhan city takes care of moving terrestrial and marine patrols to cover the area between Ushairij and Umm Bab. This section has 4 coastal centers.

 

Eastern Regional Department

This department is headquartered in Doha city at the main building of Coasts and Borders Security Department. The duties of this section are as follow:

• Providing security coverage for Gulf, Arab and International conferences.
• Securing maritime races.
• Guarding ships and vessels.
• To conduct security checking for commercial ships and also for picnic and fishing boats.
• Facilitating entry and exit of vessels and its registration. There is a floating boat to carry out this mission.

 

Administration Affairs Department

The department carries out all administrative affairs like receiving letters, and requirements of the department and all related work with personnel affairs.

Training and Qualifying Section

This department takes care of conducting training, specialized and qualifying courses for department staff in their field.

Operations Department

This operations section is considered as the connecting point between marine and terrestrial patrols work under the sections of the department and also between main administration and radar surveillance points spread over the coastal areas through operation room. It also organizes the duties of patrols and follows up its functions in all sites and receives complaints and takes necessary actions against that as well.

The Operations Department has 3 branches

1) Operations Branch.
2) Administrative Affairs Branch.
3) Maritime Security Branch which conducts rescue and follow up operations and provides assistance for those request it from the sea in addition to first aids to those who get in to the sea.

Technical Services Department

This section conducts maintenance works for department's all boats and prepare it for operation. It has 4 technical branches.

1) Engines workshop.
2) Boats frames workshop.
3) Communications and Electronics workshop which repairs all wireless devices.
4) Transport section which provides transportation facilities for all sections of the department.

Logistics Department

This Department prepares the general budget for the department and delivers the requirements of the department like uniforms, devices, food materials and etc…
