Functions

• To develop the strategic planning for the use of information technology by according to aims set by the Ministry.
• To study existing work systems with various departments in order to develop and connect them with each other to reach integration and interdependence between the departments.
• To conduct the primary and Feasibility studies to introduce the computers in department’s works.
• To train the employees for using advanced systems of the departments.
• To examine hardware and software of the computer to achieve high speed performance as well as to manage its cost.
• To provide technical assistance to all departments and sections of the MoI.
• To cooperate with other ministries in the field of information which will not contrary to the security of systems and data privacy.
• To participate in the committees conducting studies and developing data transfer mechanism and to revise the procedures in works of all departments of the Ministry of Interior.
• To supervise networks of computers in all departments and sections whether it is related to installation or connectivity with the other networks.
• To maintain and supervise all computers of the ministry.
