Traffic Violations

It is the section that deals with the traffic violations and takes over the verification mission of the correctness of the violations from legal side, which is tuned by the traffic police, and then being entered and collected from the offenders, as it undertakes implementation of verdicts issued by the courts with respect to vehicles and the verdicts are issued against its owners. it is the body entrusted with the application of the law from execution side, where it takes measures that ensure the application of the law in letter and spirit. The department’s tasks can be summarized in the following:

• Data entry of traffic violations.
• Preparation of case files for traffic violations that require settlement through the courts.
• Collection of violation amounts imposed upon Qatar cars in GCC countries.
• Make executive and administrative detention on vehicles required by the competent courts.
• Seize the car violating the law of public hygiene in coordination with the Ministry of Municipality and agricultural Affairs.
• Supervision and follow-up on violations committed by the armed forces, police and diplomatic bodies.
• The direct supervision of seizure of the vehicles sought by the traffic or those vehicles that are impounded in cases of traffic accidents.
