Work strategy of the department:

In order to put the decision of establishing the department into effect, translating the directions of the departments work into a tangible reality that is subject to organized scientific planning, the department has prepared a clear work strategy, which has been approved by His Excellency the Minister of Interior. The work on that started since the beginning of the year 2006 for a period of two years, and in the light of evaluating its performance, it has been extended for three subsequent years, so that the course of the department’s work is subject to the general strategy of the Ministry of Interior 2011-2016. It is governed by an annual operational plan, which is monitored and evaluated by the authorities concerned with planning Strategist at the Ministry of Interior.
The following is a comprehensive overview of the strategy that includes (the overall goal, sub-goals and patterns of the target audience, participating bodies, and implementation mechanisms).
1. The general objective:
Promote and respect human rights in the various fields of the Ministry of Interior's work.
2. The sub-goals:
Building trust with the public, the citizens and residents, receiving complaints from them, discussing and dealing with them, based on justice, fairness and the applicable laws.
Disseminating a culture of human rights among the ministry’s employees so that their performance is being on legitimacy and human rights
Participating in the implementation of the social welfare policy for inmates of penal and correctional institutions
Matching the performance of the Ministry's employees with the legislative tools and international human rights standards related to security work
Provisions for linking the official and public roles in achieving the above-mentioned goals (developing the positive link between the human rights department and civil society institutions).
