Functions

Nationality and Travel Documents’ Department functions are related to implementing the laws of Nationality, ID Cards, and  passports. All these services are provided by NTDD through its main office, or its sub-offices distributed around the country, in addition to the forms provided in MOI official website.
Main Functions:
•    Implementation of Qatari nationality, Qatari ID card, and Qatari passport laws.
•    Issuance of Qatari travel documents, in accordance with the law.
•    Issuance of citizens’ ID cards, in accordance with the law
•    Issuance of Temporary Residence Permits, in accordance with regulations.
•    Implementation of Qatari nationality related judgments (granting, withdrawal, loss, import,etc).
 

In order to achieve the above mentioned functions, NTDD follows below targets:
•    Improve the work quality and provide the best services to customers.
•    Facilitate and simplify procedures, taking into account the accuracy and good quality of the services provided.
•    Issuance of document with best security specifications.
•    Improve and equip branch centers to provide the best services.
