Permanent Committee For Marine Borders

The Permanent Committee for Sea Ports was established by the Council of Ministers Decision No. 38 of 2017.

The committee consists of two representatives from the Ministry of Interior, one of whom will be chairman, the other the vice-chairman of the committee. The committee will also have  representative members from the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, the Ministry of Public Health, the General Authority of Customs, the State Security Agency, the Qatari Company for Ports Management.

Each entity selects its representative, and the decision is issued by the Minister of Interior to appoint the chairman, vice-chairman and committee members.

The committee is assigned with managing seaports in coordination with the concerned authorities, following up the progress of work at seaports and strict monitoring.
