The Ministry of Interior has achieved bright success in the field of security awareness campaigns by producing various awareness means and participating in several festivals and contests at Arab and internal national level. By the constant support and continuous inspiration from the side of H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of State for Internal Affairs for the ministry staff to participate actively in celebrations through presenting purposive competitive items either it is organized at national or Arab level, The PR department participates curiously every year in the security awareness competition that has been organized by security media office under Arab interior ministers council. The objective of participation in this competition enriching the Arab security library with these purposive films which plant love of country and hard work for its development in the hearts of everybody. The PR department scored excellent victories in the purposive competitions with the aim of deepening security awareness and enhancing it among the citizens and residents without any discrimination.

Some of the achievements are inked below:

1)

Scored "Award for best traffic safety film" from the international traffic safety film festival organized by the Arab radios federation.

2) Won best film award in the field of awareness on drugs ruins from the competition organized by the General Secretariat of Arab Interior Ministers council in 2002.

3) The department participated in the international festival for the programs of prevention from the road accidents in the year 2003 and scored 3rd prize and the department has also participated in the first international festival for traffic awareness which was organized by the UN.

Won the first prize in the best awareness film competition for the year 2005.

5) Achieved the first prize in the film competition on terrorism for the year 2005 organized by General Secretariat of Arab Interior Ministers council.

6) First prize for the 3rd respective years in the awareness films competition at Arab world level. The Ministry of Interior won one gold medal and two silver medals from the 5th international festival for awareness programs. The State of Qatar won the award from 42 countries participated in the competition.

The last award for the Qatari interior ministry from the general secretariat of Arab interior ministers council was the approval of the logo on the motto " Wrong overtaking kills" for the 2008 GCC traffic week which was designed by the Public Relations Department.

Definitely these awards and prizes are inspiration for us to spend more in the field of awareness against traffic accidents, ruins of drugs or civil defense.
