Strategic Planning Department

Functions

The Strategic Planning Department carries on the following functions:

• To monitor the implementation of the Ministry’s strategy.
• To set up fundamental rules to prepare operational plans for the departments and review them in coordination with the concerned departments and committees.
• To fix the programs needed to implement the strategy in coordination with the concerned departments and follow up the implementation of projects with the Ministry's obligations towards the national development strategy of the state.
• To spread the concept of strategic work with the departments of the Ministry.
• To provide technical advice to apply international quality standards and requirements to achieve compatibility between them and the work systems of the Ministry.
• To develop a system for measuring corporate performance according to the required criteria and indicators and propose recommendations that lead to the upgrading of the level of performance.
•  To analyze the statistics of the Ministry in coordination with the departments.
• To make annual budget recommendation for the department.
• Any other tasks assigned to do.
