As part of efforts to enhance security cooperation between the State of Qatar and Canada, Major General Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Nasr, Security Attaché of the State of Qatar in Washington, held a series of meetings with several senior Canadian officials, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Tariq Ali Faraj Al Ansari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Canada.

The meetings included His Excellency Mr. David McGuinty, Canadian Minister of National Defence; His Excellency Mr. Gary Anandasangaree, Minister of Public Safety; His Excellency Mr. Daniel Rogers, Director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS); and Mr. Mike Duheme, Commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

During the meetings, the parties reviewed aspects of security cooperation and discussed ways to enhance coordination and exchange expertise in security fields, as well as addressing a number of issues of mutual interest.
