H. E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of State for Interior Affairs received H. E. Dr. August Hanning, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of the Interior at His Excellency's office in the ministry of interior on Sunday 22/2/2009 morning.

H. E The Minister discussed with the German minister about the ways of boosting cooperation between Qatar and Germany in the fileds of joint concern.

On the other side, a security cooperation agreement was signed between Qatar and Germany in the field of combating crimes and its prevention.

Representing the Qatari side, Staff Major General. Saad Bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, Director General of Public Security signed the agreement while H. E. Dr. August Hanning, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Dr. Dirk Baumgartner, Ambassador of Germany to Qatar signed in the agreement representing the Germany.
