Juvenile Police Department Receives Delegation from Its Omani Counterpart
As part of efforts to strengthen joint security
cooperation and exchange expertise among the security agencies of the Gulf
Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, the Juvenile Police Department received a
delegation from the Juvenile Police Unit of the Royal Oman Police. The
delegation was welcomed by Brigadier Mohammed Mubarak Al Shafi, Director of the
Juvenile Police Department.
The Omani delegation was headed by Lieutenant Colonel Khalid bin Khamis Al
Siyabi, Assistant Commander of the Juvenile Police Unit. The visit aimed to
enhance cooperation, exchange expertise, and review best practices in the field
of juvenile protection and the prevention of behavioral delinquency, thereby
supporting preventive and awareness efforts targeted at this group.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the department’s operational
mechanisms and its approved preventive and awareness programs. The program also
included a field tour of the department’s sections and a presentation outlining
its roles and responsibilities, in addition to reviewing the department’s
educational and awareness plan for 2026.
