Police College All Set to Qatar National Day Celebrations in Darb al Saie
The Police College announced details of its participation in Qatar National Day Celebrations to be held in Darb al Saie. This was announced at a press conference held at Darb Al-Saie on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.
Major Fahd Saeed Al-Subaie, Director of the College’s Training Department, said that participation in this precious day comes as a fulfilment of the vision of the National Day, and as an expression of loyalty, solidarity and unity, and pride in national identity.
He explained that the Police College would take part in the military parade to be held on the 18 December 2019. It will also actively participate in the activities that are being held in Darb Al-Saie ground from 12 to 20 December 2019.
On his part, Captain Rashid Ali Al-Tamimi, supervisor of the activities if Police College in Darb Al-Sa’i said: The event of Police College is a mini police college and it has been designed to include all activities for all age groups. It is divided into two parts: 9-12 years, with 30 students from each school, where a scenario is executed that depicts the entry of college students at the beginning of their academic journey and the life of the college students' daily life in all its details. School students participating in the activities will undergo the basic training that the cadres in the college are subject to, such as military skills that fall within the framework of the military infantry, as well as teaching them self-defense skills, by trainers specialized in this field.
During the event, a number of barriers will be passed, which develop the students ’physical fitness and flexibility, and at the end of the training, the tower barrier will be passed, which aims to break the student’s fear barrier and self-reliance, after which the group of participating students will be graduated.
Captain Al-Tamimi said that the second event is for the public, and includes the fields of infantry and self-defense, sports barriers, field barriers, the laser field, and the field of combat missions, and it is intended for children from 4 to 12 years old. The event also includes air shooting ranges, which are available for children from 6 years, and there is also a ferry tower activity for children, and includes vertical descent from the tower to enhance self-confidence, feet and courage.
The Police College invites the public to visit Darb Al-Saie and enjoy its activities which target all age groups, as part of the Qatar National Day celebrations.
