The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested eight African nationals for stealing personal valuables through pickpocketing especially in crowded areas.
As the Department received complaints  on repeated thefts by pickpocketing, a special security team was formed to nab the culprits. Through intensified research and investigation, a number of suspects were arrested and valuable items were seized from them. The suspects were referred to the concerned authorities to complete the procedures and take further action. 
The concerned authorities at the Ministry of the Interior calls upon the public to take care of their belongings especially in crowded places such as public markets and transport stations and to cooperate with security agencies in the event of occurrence of these kinds of thefts or  watching them.
