The Prevention Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defence organized a meeting with students from Qatar University's College of Engineering on Wednesday, 6 December 2023. This meeting took place at the Officers' Club Theater within the Directorate and aimed to present and discuss projects related to the academic curriculum of the Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's program, specifically covering "Principles of Fire Protection Science: Fundamentals of Fire Alarm and Suppression Systems."

Major General Hamad Othman Al Dehaimi, Director-General of Civil Defence, and several officers from the Directorate attended the meeting. During the session, the students delivered three presentations focusing on Automatic Water Sprinkler Systems, Fire Protection Systems in Healthcare Facilities, and Principles of Firefighting Science.
