Kuwait Emir Presents Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Informatics Award-2017 for Metrash2
Metrash2, the smart phone application of the Ministry of Interior, won the prestigious Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Informatics Award-2017 for the best technology project in the government sector. His Highness the Emir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah presented the award to HE Staff Major General Saad bin Jassem Al-Khulaifi, Director General of Public Security, on Wednesday 29 November 2017 at the Bayan Palace, Kuwait.
The award ceremony was held under the patronage of His Highness the Emir of Kuwait to distribute prizes to the winners of the various categories of the award. This award is considered as one of the most prestigious awards in the region in terms of its comprehensive and diverse categories related to innovation and development.
Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al-Khulaifi expressed his happiness with winning the Ministry of Interior this prestigious award and the presence of His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait for the award ceremony in the light of the growing brotherly relations between the two countries in various fields. He stressed that the State of Qatar was keen to participate in such events to enrich experiences and knowledge in all fields that serve security and humanity among the various countries in the world.
It is worth mentioning that Matrash 2 is an excellent smart phone application that provides more than 160 services of the Ministry of Interior related to residence, visas, passports, traffic, etc., effortlessly and with ease, in addition to many information services and requests.
