Ministry of Interior Participates in the First Qatar Equestarian Federation Tent Pegging Championship
The Ministry of Interior team, represented by the Qatar Police Sports Federation, participated in the first Qatar Equestrian Federation Tent Pegging Championship, organized by the Qatar Equestrian Federation in cooperation with the Internal Security Force “Lekhwiya” at the Lekhwiya Equestrian Track, with the participation of 24 riders representing six teams.
The Ministry of Interior team secured second place in the team category after delivering a strong performance and distinguished competition that reflected the riders’ readiness and technical proficiency in the sport of tent pegging.
In the individual category, Major Faisal Saad Al Hajri claimed second place, while First Lieutenant Ghanem Hadaf Al Qahtani secured third place, reaffirming the Ministry of Interior team’s outstanding presence in the championship.
The championship witnessed strong competition and a high technical level among participating teams, reflecting the continuous development of tent pegging and the growing support and interest it receives from sports and military institutions.
This achievement comes as part of the Ministry of Interior team’s ongoing participation in various sports championships and events, contributing to strengthening its sporting presence, refining riders’ skills, and enhancing readiness for upcoming competitions.
