Under the patronage of HE Abdullah bin Khalaf bin Hattab Al Kaabi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, a workshop on studying and addressing the trend of the spread of electric scooters was held on Wednesday, 6 December 2023, at Intercontinental Doha Hotel. Representatives from the traffic departments of the GCC countries and various relevant authorities in the state participated.

Brigadier Abdulaziz bin Jasim Al Thani, Acting Director General of Traffic inaugurated the workshop and directors of departments at the General Directorate of Traffic, officers from the Ministry of Interior, and representatives of relevant state entities participated.

The workshop included working papers presented by participants from the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Traffic, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Public Works Authority, the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Qatar Transportation and Traffic Safety Center at Qatar University, and the Qatar General Organization for Standardization.
