Airport Passports Department

Introduction

The Airport Passports Department is one of the departments under the General Directorate of Borders Passports and Expatriates Affairs (GDBPEA) of the Ministry of Interior and was formed according to the decree No. 4/2012 issued by HE the Minister of State for Internal Affairs, that instructs to change the name of ‘Airport Passports and Security Department’, its functions and organizational structure according to the article No.1, which stipulates the formation of a department called “Airport Passports Department” under the GDBPEA. Likewise, the article No. 3 also stipulates the formation of sections under the Department as per the specific mechanism No. 5 from the decree of HE the Minister of State for Internal Affairs No. 1/2004.
