North Security Department

Introduction

The building of North Security Department was situated at Al Nasr street in New Al Mirqab area in past where the functional area of the department was from general north line to Al Ruwais city, Mesaieed and Dukhan lines. The development of urban life led to division of security management of State of Qatar as different security departments were created.

In January 1988, building of North Department was shifted to Umm Salal area on general north line (current Umm Salal Police Section) as well as the functional area of the department was fixed from Teeba petrol station to Golf roundabout from western southern side to Al Ruwais ciry in north.

On 12/06/1999, building of North Security Department was shifted from Umm Salal area to Al Khor city. On other hand, old building of the department in Umm salal became as a section under the main department in the name of (Umm Salal Police Section).

The dependency of Laffan Police Section was transferred to the department in early march 1999 which became a section under the main department in the name of (Laffan Police Section).
