The search and follow up department is one of the specialized dept. under the General Directorate of Border Passports and Expatriates Affairs at the Ministry of Interior. The duty of implementing the decisions and rules of the law no. 3 for the year 1963 on organizing entry and residence in this country, modified and integrated acts and decisions and executing instructions and notices issued in this regard is laying on this department.


To deport violators of the laws from this country as it is required by the law for organizing expatriates and their residence in Qatar, the Search and Follow up Department provides a centre for keeping persons who have been sentenced for deportation in custody while their final procedures still pending.
