Maritime Ports Security Department Football Championship Concludes
The Maritime Ports Security Department Football Championship concluded after being organized by the department with the participation of eight teams representing a number of Ministry of Interior departments and entities operating at Hamad Port. The tournament was held as part of efforts to promote sportsmanship and strengthen cooperation among the participating entities.
The championship featured teams from the General Directorate of Traffic, the General Directorate of Civil Defence, the General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security, the Permanent Committee for the Management of Maritime Ports and the Maritime Ports Security Department, in addition to the General Authority of Customs and QTerminals.
The General Directorate of Traffic team was crowned champion after defeating the Maritime Ports Security Department team 4–2 in an exciting and closely contested final match.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Major General Dr. Abdulhadi Mohammed Zabin Al Dosari, Chairman of the Permanent Committee for the Management of Maritime Ports and Director of the Maritime Ports Security Department, presented the championship trophy and gold medals to the General Directorate of Traffic team. The Maritime Ports Security Department team finished as runner-up and received the silver medals.
The closing ceremony was attended by a number of officers and representatives of the participating entities and organizations operating at Hamad Port, who praised the tournament’s high technical standards and excellent organization, as well as the spirit of competition and cooperation demonstrated by all participating teams.
