As part of efforts to strengthen security cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Russian Federation, the General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security received a delegation from the Russian Ministry of Defence.

The delegation was welcomed by Colonel (Naval Staff) Hassan Ahmed Al Sulaiti, Director General of Coasts and Borders Security, along with a number of officers.

During the visit, the Russian delegation, headed by Major General (Naval) Viktor Andreyevich Kalganov, Deputy Head of the National Defence Control Centre of the Russian Federation, was briefed on the responsibilities of the General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security and its role in protecting Qatar’s coasts, conducting search and rescue operations, and safeguarding vital maritime facilities.
