The Police Academy, represented by Ras Laffan College for Emergency and Safety, organized an introductory session on the academic and training programs offered by the College at the Officers Club of the General Directorate of Civil Defence. The session was attended by Major General Abdulrahman Majid Al-Sulaiti, President of the Police Academy; Colonel Mohammed Ahmed Al-Maarefi, Assistant Director General of Civil Defence; and a number of officers and representatives of relevant entities.

The session aimed to introduce the academic and training programs offered by the College in cooperation with the UK’s University of Lancashire, and its role in preparing and qualifying specialized national personnel in the fields of emergencies, crises, and fire safety, in line with the latest international standards and practices.
The programs seek to develop students’ academic and professional skills, enhance their ability to manage risks and respond effectively to incidents and emergencies, and raise levels of preparedness, prevention, and safety. This is intended to meet the field requirements of relevant entities, support the security and safety system, and strengthen national capacity to deal with various emergency situations.
