The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Interior, participated in the High-Level Meeting on Improving Global Road Safety, held in New York City.

The Ministry of Interior was represented at the meeting by Major Engineer Saud Abdullah Jamaan Al Hamad, Member of the Secretariat of the National Traffic Safety Committee.

During the meeting, the Ministry's representative reaffirmed the State of Qatar's commitment to fulfilling its national and international obligations in the field of road safety through the implementation of the National Traffic Safety Strategy 2025–2030. The strategy aims to reduce road traffic fatalities by 50%, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Qatar National Vision 2030.
